Developed commercial strategy for Series A social booking app looking to drive supply-side growth.
The client's business was a marketplace built around visual discovery for users with shared intent: booking specialist beauty treatments. The focus? To unlock supply that previously didn't exist formally, but currently ran bookings for services via Instagram and Whatsapp.
The challenge? In order to bring this emerging supply on to the platform, we'd need to offer them incremental demand ('come for the network, stay for the tool'). My hypothesis was that by focusing on finding ways to onboard expert supply (already highly utilised), we'd attract expert supply's existing demand, which would then serve as incremental business for emerging supply.
